Running Across the Pond
Becky’s Bi-Weekly Post: Entry 2

Wow…so, as with all of the blogs I have where I require myself to write something, I’ve been slacking on this one. We are now going to try again.

I ran tonight after the first time in nearly two weeks. (I know…I’ve been a bad running partner.) But, it’s not my fault I swear. I really do need to explain myself otherwise there could be consequences.

Two weeks ago I ran on Monday (that would be September 19) and I honestly meant to continue throughout the rest of the week…except that I woke up on Tuesday with the worst head cold I’ve had in ages. It was so bad that I called out of my internship on Wednesday and slept for nearly 3 hours. I finally got “better” or somewhat better by Friday…just in time to start tech week for the Rude Mechanicals’ (the Shakespeare troop I work with) Variety Show where I’m the Stage Manager. This needless to say ended with me not getting to sleep until nearly 2am every night of the week. And add to that my grad work and you have no time for Becky to run.

Anyway, now that the show is over I’m back to running. I just got back from my run tonight and I managed to run 2.1 miles in 30 minutes with no stops (except for the traffic lights). Not too shabby for taking two weeks off. My legs feel great, the pace was good and I wasn’t horribly dying of suffocation when I finished. So, overall good run! Now, we shall just have to keep this up! Becky signing off!

Becky’s Bi-Weekly Post: Entry 1

Ok. I’m going to try to actually keep up with this. Once every two weeks, I’m going to make a post about how I think I’m doing in this progress. I know I’m slightly behind already, but eh. I and everyone else will deal.

Today marked the official end to two weeks since Chelsea and I started. I feel like I’m slowly getting better. It also helps that Esther and Geoff are running with us. Gives me extra motivation I guess.

Overall, my breathing is slightly better though recently, I feel like I’m going to die as we finish up the second loop. And the three day break that we had due to Hurricane Irene didn’t really help with keeping me going. I am, however, able to walk in the morning, which is somewhat of a feat as I wasn’t able to when I started this endeavor. In a nutshell, London better be scared for 2013. Chelsea and I are going to kick some major ass!

Becky signing off!
